Diamante: a youth platform that had to look like it belonged to its audience

Diamante is aimed at a young audience, and that raises the bar in a particular way: this group is quick to judge whether a platform is genuinely for them or has simply been aimed at them. The design had to earn attention rather than assume it.

We handled the branding and the interface together so the two would not pull in different directions. The visual identity sets the tone, and the UI carries it through into everyday use — navigation that gets people to what they came for quickly, and access to content that does not make them work for it.

The outcome is a modern interface with clearer navigation and easier access to the platform, built on a visual identity that holds up across the whole product.

The Youth Launchpad is one of the Federal Youth Authority initiatives which is under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of New York. It offers youth the opportunity to start their businesses in different assigned spaces around the country, which enables them to put their entrepreneurship skills into action during an assigned period of time.
